First National Bank Acacia House
 
First National Bank Acacia House in Umhlanga Ridge Durban is the regional headquarters of FNB, Rand Merchant Bank and other divisions in the group.
The building comprises four parking levels, a ground floor and five office levels.
Encompassing environmental best practice methods, the development enjoys extensive green energy saving inefficiencies.
A Desigo Insight Building Management System controls and monitors all aspects of the building including HVAC, Electrical monitoring (Generators, UPS's, Lighting, Power Meters, Lifts and Fuel Storage System), Wet services (Domestic Water tanks, water meters, Fire water tanks and sprinkler valves) with a total IO points count of in excess of 3000 points.
Multiple 3rd party integration occurs on the site with protocols ranging from BACnet/MSTP and IP to Modbus all being integrated into the Building Management System.
Unilever Indonsa Plant
Unilever's plant in Riverhorse Valley Durban named Indonsa, meaning “Morning Star” in isiZulu, produces renowned brands such as Knorr, Robertson’s, Knorrox, Aromat and Rajah. It is the first green manufacturing plant for SA reducing its carbon footprint.
The Indonsa plant has the ability to become the biggest savoury dry food site in Unilever world-wide. It has been designed to produce 65 000 tonnes of product per year and has an expansion capability of up to 100 000 tonnes. The 22 000 sq/m metre factory is equivalent to three soccer fields and is situated on 78 000 sq/m of land.

controls and monitors all aspects of the building including HVAC, Power Meters, Wet services (Domestic Water tanks, water
meters, Fire water tanks and sprinkler valves, Rain Water Harvesting System and various water catchment pumps in the facility) with a total IO points
count of in excess of 3000 points.
Multiple 3rd party integration
occurs on the site with protocols ranging from LonTalk, Konnex and Modbus all being integrated into the Building Management System BACnet network. The site encompasses more than 120 field controllers of different types.
Westwood Mall

Durban Playhouse
 
Durban’s Playhouse complex links the city’s present with its past. The
current theatre facade preserves two of the city’s most famous
landmarks, situated adjacent to each other in central Smith Street
opposite the City Hall, first conceived as cinemas, namely the glamorous
Prince’s Theatre, which originated in 1926, and the grand, Tudor-styled
Playhouse, which originally opened its doors to public fanfares and
capacity house in 1935.
In the early 1980s, these two celebrated entertainment venues underwent
expert renovation and conversion into a state-of-the-art, multi-venue
theatre complex that faithfully preserved many of the buildings’
original characteristics and architectural features. This was officially
opened in the mid ’80s as The Natal Playhouse, subsequently to become
known by its present-day title The Playhouse, Kwazulu-Natal’s premier
theatre complex and home of The Playhouse Company.I

Durban Magistrates Court building, encompasses 39 court rooms of various sizes together with the associated offices for magistrates and support staff.

The maintenance and control room staff are able to monitor and intervene if the conditions in the court are out of specification or if any faults arise by via a large screen monitor in the control room or from a dedicated BMS PC in the maintenance managers office.

Aspen Pharmaceuticals Headquarters
  Aspen Pharmaceuticals, a South African-based JSE Limited listed company continues to increase the
number of lives benefiting from its products, reaching more than 150
countries across the world. Their newly renovated global headquarters in the prestigious La Lucia Ridge area of Durban, consists of a 7,000m 2 office building. A Desigo Insight Building Management System
controls and monitors the building HVAC, Electrical Monitoring (generator and UPS's). The system encompasses Siemens field controllers and the integration of BACnet/MSTP fan coil controllers and Modbus from the generator into Desigo Insight.
Ithala Development Bank Trade Centre
 
The Ithala Trade Centre is seen as a development hub, situated at the
gateway to the city, providing easy access and ample secure parking. It
boasts an excellent setting, surrounded by mixed use buildings and a
modern network of canals. The Trade Centre is designed and decorated along modern classic lines,
generally open plan making best use of the floor space and featuring
environmentally friendly fittings to reduce operating costs.

this province's historically disadvantaged communities.

South African Reserve Bank Durban
 
The South
African Reserve Bank is the central bank of the Republic of South
Africa. The primary purpose of the Bank is to achieve and maintain price
stability in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth in
South Africa. Together with other institutions, it also plays a pivotal role in
ensuring financial stability.
The Durban branch of the South African
Reserve Bank is a high security facility with access strictly controlled. Being
an enclosed building without windows, temperature control within the building
is very important. The facility also includes a note and coin processing area
which also requires close temperature control to maintain the easy handling of
the money.
A Desigo CC Building Management System controls and monitor all aspects of the building including HVAC, Electrical
monitoring (power meters) and water consumption monitoring, with a total IO
points count of in excess of 1000 points.
3rd party integration occurs on the site with Modbus from the power meters,
integration of a Daikin VRV system via BACnet/IP and future integration of a Rickard
pressure control damper system also via BACnet/IP being integrated into the
Building Management System. With the Desigo CC system being modular, other sub
systems can easily be added to the BMS at a later stage.
This is the first installation of Desigo CC in Africa.
Milkwood Office Park
Milkwood Office Park is a green star rated building complex with spectacular views toward the city
and the ocean. The campus based layout is orientated directly south to
reduce solar heat gain. Numerous strategies have been employed to ensure
it achieves a 4 star rating. The campus consists of four buildings fed from a central HVAC plant with an ice storage system for reduced energy consumption during peak tariff periods.
We are currently in the process of installing a Desigo CC Building Management System on this site.
A Desigo CC Building Management System will control
and monitor all aspects of the building including HVAC and energy consumption (energy meters), with a total IO points count of in
excess of 1500 points.
3rd party integration occurs on the
site with BACnet/MSTP from the energy meters being
integrated into the Building Management System.
Highway House
 
Highway House is the regional head offices for the Kwa-Zulu Natal departments of Sport & Recreation and the Department of Health. The Building consists of two 6 storey towers.
A Desigo Touch and Web Building Management System
controls and monitors the building HVAC. The system consists of a 8" touchscreen mounted in one of the HVAC plantrooms and a central PC connected to the system via a Desigo Web interface.
SAPREF Refinery
 
SAPREF is a joint venture between Shell SA Refining and BP Southern
Africa. SAPREF is the largest crude oil refinery in Southern Africa with
35% of South Africa’s refining capacity.
A Desigo PX Web Building Management System
controls and monitors the office building HVAC in the refinery. The system consists of an operator display mounted in one of the HVAC plantrooms and a central PC connected to the system via a Desigo PX Web interface.
Business Centre
 
The Business Centre offers furnished, unfurnished, virtual offices and business services within an upmarket facility in Umhlanga, Durban.

controls and monitors the office building HVAC. The system consists of numerous RDG 100 KN communicating thermostats connected back to a OZW772.255 Synco Web Interface. This interface is accessible from any PC connected to the Internet via a browser based Web interface.
Life Empangeni Private Hospital
Life Empangeni Private Hospital is a member of Life Healthcare, one of
the largest private hospital groups in South Africa, operating 63 acute
care facilities across the country.

controls and monitors the Hospital Theatres HVAC. The system consists of 10 RMS 705B controllers connected back to a OZW772.16 Synco Web Interface. This interface is accessible from any PC connected to the hospital network via a browser based Web interface.
Life Hilton Private Hospital
Life Hilton Private Hospital is a member of the Life Healthcare Group,
one of the largest private hospital groups in South Africa, operating
more than 63 acute facilities across the country.
The facilities include:
- The hospital has 94 beds
- Five operating theatres of which two are state-of-the art
laminar flow theatres which are equipped to deal with intricate
orthopaedic surgery which include knee and hip replacements
- Nine bed maternity and gynaecology unit
- Five bed neonatal intensive care unit
- Ten bed paediatric unit with six private wards and a secure
play area. Our paediatric wards offer excellent facilities for mothers
of hospitalised children
- Six bed intensive care unit
- Six bed high care unit
- Radiology unit which includes a CT scanner, MRI scanner and X-rays

will control and monitors the Hospital HVAC once the entire project is completed. The system consists of numerous RMS 705B controllers that will be connected back to a OZW772 Synco Web Interface. This interface is accessible from any PC connected to the hospital network via a browser based Web interface when completed.

and has an investment division, headquarters is a 8,100m2 "green" building boasting a "barcode" facade design in the prestigious Ridgeside precinct of uMhlanga.
